Where to begin. How about college? I got my B.S. in Biochemistry from Oklahoma State University, but ended up turning my hobby of home computing into an IT career in the late 90's. Back then, if you had an aptitude for computers, the IT group would find you. I have turned that hobby into a 30+ yr. career. Kind of fortunate really. So, how did I come to this point and decide that throwing my entry into the giant pot that is self published books was something I really wanted to do? The truth is, I guess it has been brewing for some time. I've always had ideas, notes, and some written pages that I started, some going back to 1999. Over Thanksgiving and Christmas break in 2022, I gathered them all up and from that came the idea of a Fantasy origin story. That coalesced into A New Age of Man, and to my surprise I began to write in earnest. 7 months later I had a first draft done. Residing in the Houston, TX area with my lovely wife Holly, I love hanging out with her and watching some new drama or crime show, cheering on all of my alma mater’s various sports teams, gaming on the PC and PS5, and of course reading. I’m what you might call a voracious reader. I give a lot of credit to my parents and grandparents who encouraged my reading enthusiasm throughout my youth. So, there you go. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I had writing it. On to book 2!
