Danielle has recently become a labor & delivery nurse and an author. Her career path - just like her life - has been more of a colorful jungle gym than a neat and tidy ladder. After earning a degree in Journalism from the University of Arizona, she worked briefly for the Associated Press before embarking on a diverse career in marketing and sales, her writing relegated to corporate blogs and marketing emails, then later nursing school essays. She started sharing her thoughts and stories on her blog, and when she was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, people connected with her inspiring optimism. But in the wee hours of the morning, before the kids were awake, she would steal time away from the busy chaos of family life to write the memoir that she couldn’t get out of her heart.
