From the age of 19 David pastored a rural Baptist church in the once gold rich Mt Morgan, Australia. For 14 years David experienced the up and down life of a minister in a small town with high unemployment, and the ebb and flow of country life. His first book 'Sermons on the Mount' shares a number of those rural church and town experiences. During those Mt Morgan years, back when Google was new, David discovered Adwords as a method to promote non-profit ideas and started using search advertising to share the gospel with people, linking them to resources and information on his websites. This was a novel idea at the time, the ads were cheap with no competition. Consequently in a space of two years David introduced 3000 people to Christ and shared the gospel with over 40,000 people in about 20 languages from over 100 countries. Many people joined churches as a result. David has travelled to a number of nations for ministry, both western and eastern. These include Haiti, India, Sri-Lanka, the Philippines, Canada, Mexico, UAE, Kenya, Uganda, the USA, New Zealand, and has also lived in Papua New Guinea for 5 years as a child with missionary parents. Married to Marie, a California girl, they have seven children, all who live in Australia. David is currently the Senior Pastor of Peace Christian Church in Rockhampton, which is a part of the larger Peace group of ministries headed by John Kingsley Alley. David is also actively involved in the Rockhampton Churches Together, along with a number of other churches and church leaders in the city of Rockhampton. Together they are finding that in Christ, they love one another, and have so much in common.
