While managing a middle school library for thirteen years, Dawn Chevoya enjoyed bonding with kids on the fringe during lunch hour and after school working on yearbook layouts, all of whom inspired the writing of her first novel, Trapper's Grounding. Mother of two and supplier of gummy worms to seven grandkids. She loves to dig in the dirt, plant things, and later photograph them. Born in Fresno, California in 1947, grew up in Miami, Florida and now lives in Lansing, in the middle of the mitten part of Michigan, a little too far from the woods she loves.
