Debra is a career software developer with many other hobbies. She resides in Seattle, Washington. Having been an avid reader of Fantasy and Science Fiction from a very young age, writing has always been something she's enjoyed. Becoming a published author of fantastic fiction has been a life-long dream. In 2016, Debra wrote the original story about a “magic mirror” that sent someone to a parallel universe where they would learn a lesson. It was originally meant to be a short story and lacked character and plot development. In 2020, through the help and encouragement of friends and much more development of the story and characters, she released “Reality Reflections”. It was later that year during NaNoWriMo that she came up with a new idea that would soon become “Deceiving Destiny”. This time, the story and characters were much more planned out. Debra’s hope with these books is to try to create empathy in her readers that they may gain a better understanding of LGBT+ lives.
