Born in a religious yet open-minded and practical environment, Deepti was vastly exposed in early life, due to schooling as well, to various religious customs dominant in Hinduism and Christianity. Her liberal upbringing with a personal scientific mind, allowed her to persist seeking answers from various religious heads, to quench her never ending questions on Life-World-God. This finally resulted in committing herself to full time learning of Vedanta. Initially as a three year course, she later continued her personal quest predominantly with teachers from Arsha Vidya Sampradaya founded by Swami Dayananda Saraswati, to whom she remains eternally indebted. Deepti is a Physical Therapist and a Co-founder with her husband, of Vedanta Vidya Trust which is sponsoring students who wish to pursue Vedanta. The Trust also along with fulfills other social returns in the underprivileged sector. Deepti lives in India, and continues to take in-depth Vedanta classes and retreats, and has given up practicing Physical Therapy. Occasionally she enjoys writing poetry, photography, cooking and maintains two independent blogs.
