Writing under the pen name Edward Axont, the author holds MSc and PhD degrees and has published extensively in theoretical and computational physics and chemistry. His scientific career involved computer modelling and simulation of polymers, dendrimers, and complex biomolecules like DNA and proteins for nanotechnology applications. After years of university lecturing and supervising graduate students, he took early retirement to devote time to independent research and creative pursuits. An enthusiastic traveler, photographer, he is also a cat keeper. His passion now lies in writing fiction, popular science and other literary works. Though no longer teaching, Edward remains actively engaged in private research, merging his robust science background with storytelling.
