Born in New Orleans and raised in Houston, Gia's journey through life has been rich with experiences that shaped her into a fervent advocate for adoptees and a voice for personal discovery. She holds a degree from Carnegie Mellon University and has enjoyed a diverse career before committing to author her memoir. Gia is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., through which she engages in community service and leadership. In her personal time, Gia loves to explore the culinary traditions of her New Orleans roots and experiment with new recipes, often infusing her dishes with a taste of her heritage. Her commitment to family, community, and her sorority exempli!es her dedication to uplifting others and celebrating the strength of familial bonds. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Jazmyne and Jordyne, who are the light of her life. Gia, her husband Andy, and their beloved dog Teddy happily reside outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
