Greg Lenburg, acclaimed author and publisher, is renowned for his extensive contributions to the legacy of The Three Stooges and Hollywood's golden era. Co-author of four definitive books on The Three Stooges, including the bestselling "The Three Stooges Scrapbook" and its updated edition, Greg's work with Moe Howard's daughter, Joan Howard Maurer, and his twin brother, Jeff, remains unparalleled in chronicling the iconic comedy team's history. Greg's fascination with The Three Stooges began in the 1970s during high school, where he and Jeff forged close friendships with stalwarts Moe Howard and Larry Fine as well as third stooge replacements, comic Joe Besser and Joe "Curly Joe" DeRita, lasting until their passings. His bond with Besser and his wife Ernie was particularly strong, leading Greg and Jeff to establish Besser Relations, a pioneering PR agency that revitalized Joe Besser's career in the entertainment industry until his passing in 1988. That bond also culminated in him and Jeff co-writing with the famed comic his autobiograhies, "Not Just a Stooge" and "Once a Stooge, Always a Stooge," including an acclaimed updated and enlarged edition in 2020. Beyond his Stooges legacy, Greg Lenburg has authored over 70 movie poster books on Hollywood's stars under his independent publishing venture, Abby Books. His career milestones include assisting well known actor and announcer Gary Owens' (of TV’s groundbreaking "Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In") in his efforts to secure The Three Stooges' long overdue star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a historic event attended by by a record 3,000 fans. In recent years, Greg launched JoeBesserForever, a comprehensive tribute to Joe Besser, featuring rare photos, biographical insights, and a curated collection of clips from Besser's memorable roles in film and television. Greg Lenburg's diverse career also spans journalism, having served as a newspaper editor, local radio newscaster, and host of an entertainment news program. His passion for preserving and celebrating entertainment history continues to resonate through his prolific writing and archival efforts.
