Hunter Liguore is an award-winning author, art historian, and writing professor, whose books have been translated in seven languages. She’s the author of Whole World Inside Nan’s Soup (Paterson Prize for Young People; Every Child a Reader Honor Book, 2021, rereleasing in a collector's edition in 2025), Where Are You Going Butterfly? (Society of Illustrators Finalist, Hiii Merit Award Winner, Bologna Children's Illustration Finalist, 2025),The Modern Art of War: Sun Tzu's Hidden Path to Peace and Wholeness (2024). She’s a regular columnist for Spirituality & Health Magazine, and has published in over 500 publications, internationally, including, Non-Profit Quarterly, The Writer’s Digest, The Mindfulness Bell, Orion Magazine, The Irish Pages, Northwestern Review, Bellevue Literary Review, American Anthropological Assoc., and more. She's studied with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, John Hume (North Ireland), and has undertaken critical research in peace and social justice studies. Most recently, she received Honorable Mention in the Intl. Human Rights Art Movement/Art of Unity Literary Award for “Ash and Cinder.” Her unique writing explores interconnectedness with all people, reciprocal relationships with the natural world, and kindness and empathy for all, without exception.
