If you enjoy Ken Follett, John Grisham, Dan Brown or Nelson DeMille then you will love Ido Graf! Ido Graf grew up in the Mediterranean and in the United Kingdom, predominantly in London. If you enjoy the gripping suspense of Ken Follett, the legal twists of John Grisham, the high-stakes puzzles of Dan Brown, or the sharp thrillers of Nelson DeMille—then you’ll love the novels of Ido Graf. Ido Graf is a writer of mystery and suspense thrillers, known for weaving fast-paced narratives grounded in realism, political intrigue, and historical undercurrents. His novels draw heavily on his extraordinary life experiences and meticulous research, with each story grounded in authentic locations he has personally visited. Raised between the Mediterranean and London, Ido grew up immersed in a world of contrasts. His family were acquaintances of the legendary Graham Greene—an early influence and one of the 20th century’s most celebrated English novelists. After earning a Bachelor’s degree, Ido pursued a Master’s and a suite of specialist qualifications. His life has spanned military bases across Europe and the Middle East, reflecting his roots in a family with strong police and military ties. He has held roles with both government departments and private sector organisations in the UK and North America, and even spent time at Interpol headquarters in Lyon. Ido’s travels have taken him across the globe—from North and South America to Africa, the Middle East, Russia, and the Far East. He’s had brushes with intelligence services in Guinea and Sierra Leone and was once invited by the Colombian government to visit during a time of deep national complexity. In one particularly surreal episode, Ido and a friend found themselves in a shooting contest in the Củ Chi district of Vietnam, alongside John F. Kennedy Jr., while actress Daryl Hannah watched. They fired AK-47s in the dense jungle—a moment as bizarre as it was unforgettable. A certified scuba diver, skydiver, alpine mountaineer, and skilled snowboarder and skier, Ido lives life with a sense of adventure that spills over into every page of his fiction. His novels span the genres of political and military thrillers, intelligence and espionage, terrorism, and corporate intrigue. Whether contemporary or historical in setting, his stories are always grounded in the authentic and the possible. Explore his world of high-stakes thrillers, and follow his blog for insights into his travels, research, and writing process.
