Issam Khoury is a journalist and dedicated political activist hailing from Syria based in NY, boasting over two decades of prolific experience in writing and research for major news outlets across the Middle East and North Africa. Khoury is a multilingual author, having written three books in Arabic, the notable "Assad and ME" in English, and "Nuclear Energy Between Peace And War" in English and Ukraine. His extensive body of work includes more than 700 reports on diverse topics such as politics, governance, Islamic groups, human rights, culture, and arts. As an expert in political and social trends, Khoury was the first journalist to report on the revolution while still in Syria. In addition to his journalism, Khoury is adept in social media and shares his knowledge with fellow journalists in the Arab world. He served as a Senior Advisor to Strategy XXI Partners in New York in 2016 and founded the Center for Environmental and Social Development in 2017. This nonpartisan international human rights organization, based in New York, reflects Khoury's commitment to creating positive global change. Khoury's expertise also extends to academia, where he is a fellow expert at the Czech-Slovak Institute of Oriental Studies. He obtained a Master's degree in Geopolitical Studies in 2008 and was recognized as an International Journalist fellow at the CUNY J-school in New York City in 2015.
