I'm a Southern writer from the Birmingham, Alabama area. I'm married, have 2 stepkids, and a lazy ol' dog (the very reason I picked him at the shelter.) I guess people would say I'm living the dream, and I probably couldn't argue. I'm pretty blessed. When I'm not writing, I am reading, listening to good music. I'm old school ... grew up on Zeppelin, Van Halen and Skynyrd so the more guitar the better. And I love me some blues guitar! I also like going to the movies with the family and traveling around trying to broaden my horizons and cross stuff off my bucket list as I get older. People ask me what I write and I simply say, "Whatever i want to." I don't want to be defined by categories or genres. I've written romance, including paranormal romance, a vampire novel, sci-fi/shifter-type stuff and even some downright naughty Christmas stories. I've even taken an old fairy tale and re-spun it with a Depression-era Appalachian twist, then gave it another little tweak to make sure it's probably not gonna be like any other Red Riding Hood story you ever read. I've been labeled an erotica author by some, but not all my work falls into that category. Yes, sometimes it's fun to write a naughty little tale about elves behaving badly, but it's also very satisfying to finish a full-length novel that really speaks to people. Regardless of what I write, one thing's for certain. It'll always have that Southern, down-home flavor. Because that's all I know. What you see with me is what you get. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I stand for what I believe. I also say ma'am and hold the door for ladies. Because that's how I was raised.
