Jan Broberg became a household name after the award-winning, Netflix documentary based on her kidnapping in the 1970's, Abducted in Plain Sight, was released in 2019. She was honored with the prestigious Hope Award from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for her advocacy and public outreach on behalf of children at risk of assault. Jan produced the NBC series, A Friend of The Family, which is based on her family's horror story about the grooming and abuse by a family friend. Starring Anna Paquin, Colin Hanks, and Jake Lacey; it is available on Peacock TV. For more information on Jan's foundation, please visit TheJanBrobergFoundation.org.
