Jason Dorta is an accomplished marathon runner with a love for yoga. He ran his first marathon thirty years ago and has been running ever since. His achievements include dozens of marathons, half marathons, ultra-marathons and 24hr races, plus many 10ks. In 2021 he ran, Race to the Stones, a distance of 100km along the UK's oldest path. In 2022 his highlight has been running, Race to the Tower, 52.4 miles along the Cotswold Way in England. Running has been there for him all of his life and has seen him through the darkest of times. A serious injury almost left him unable to run. After weeks on crutches he almost gave up hope, but physiotherapy and a positive mindset got him back on track. Yoga helped him regain his flexibility and movement. It complements his running with many benefits. Apart from flexibility and movement, it also strengthens his muscles, facilitates his breathing, helps to prevent back pain and improves his posture and running form. It's also the perfect antidote for stress. Coupled with meditation, yoga is a daily ritual that boosts his mental as well as physical health. He continues to set himself running challenges and believes you are only limited by your mindset.
