Jewell Baraka is a writer, survivor, advocate, MMA enthusiast, beach lover, and seeker who has fought through the caverns of her own trauma to find a way forward both for herself and others. She uses her voice alongside other survivors and advocates to shine a light on the needs of survivors and the human rights violations in the sex industry. For the last three years she has worked as a crisis response Survivor Advocate connecting trafficking victims identified in Los Angeles hospitals with resources, referrals and care, to empower them on their way to a new life. “
