Jimmy is a nationally recognized speaker, marriage coach, and author who inspires diverse audiences to live beyond themselves on the journey to discovering their greater purpose. As a key strategic partner for several influential churches and para-church organizations Jimmy’s ministry experience has been critical to architecting strategies to increase influence and realize greater impact. After almost twenty-five years of full-time ministry, ten of which they served as Senior Pastors of a thriving church with over 3,000 members (called i5 City), he and his wife Irene felt a shift in their ministry focus. They made the decision to transition from their role as Senior Pastors and yield to the call on their lives—a call to help others build healthy marriages and families filled with love, laughter, and longevity. Throughout their own marriage, Jimmy and Irene have navigated many difficulties in their relationship; including food and alcohol addiction, family dysfunction, and communication issues as well as many difficult and painful seasons of loss. For the first fifteen years of marriage, Jimmy and Irene were, as they say, “surviving, but not thriving.” They did their best to manage the many challenges of family life while simultaneously navigating the complexities and nuances of their professional and ministry life, but it all came to a screeching halt in 2015 when their public, professional ministry life and private, family and marriage life became too much for two broken individuals to manage. It was time to get help and pursue the healing they desperately needed. Now living their best life, Jimmy and Irene are sought after globally as dynamic public speakers, authors, and marriage coaches. Offering marriage intensives for both church and corporate settings as well as individualized coaching and marriage retreats, TWO=ONE is all about sharing from their wealth of experience and wisdom to inspire individuals and couples with a unique message of hope, healing, and restoration.
