Born on Long Island, but moved to South Florida when I was eight. Spent four years in the military after high school. Began college at Palm Beach Junior College before transferring to Florida State University in my junior year. Received B.A. and M.A, degrees in English before teaching high school for one year. Returned to FSU for a Ph.D. Hired by the University of Georgia, where I taught for thirty-one years. Published six books and forty articles and reviews on literary criticism and biography. While an English professor, I became re-acquainted with an old love: theater. I spent twenty-five years as an actor, director, producer, and playwright, with some forty plays to my credit, thirty-five of which were staged. I now devote my creative energies to writing fiction. My twenty novels have been published from 2015 to 2023. I live with my wife Susan in Athens, Georgia. We have two grown children and five granddaughters.
