In addition to being a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author of Measure Up: Mastering Your Career Search Like a Boss, three-time founder, entrepreneur, tech investor, board member and advisor to high growth companies, Josh McAfee is most thankful to be a husband with a very patient wife. He is also a new father who knows he's in over his head. Josh is passionate about helping people make great hiring and career decisions so they can have the most fulfilled, abundant, and meaningful lives possible. He’s spent almost thirty years in the recruiting and coaching world consulting with and placing thousands of leaders, sales, and tech-savvy people into high-growth companies. He founded, built, and sold a national tech staffing company and has helped countless leaders of high-growth companies grow their teams with the right people to have a positive impact on their products, culture, and, ultimately, their customers. Josh’s experience has molded him into a leading expert in recruiting, hiring, employee retention, and career growth best practices. In his personal life, Josh invests his time in helping and bringing people together. His volunteer work includes North Point Community Church, Jars of Clay Mission in south Atlanta, and 410 Bridge, working in communities in Africa and Haiti. Josh is also a founding member of the Georgia Aquarium, where he's helped bring diverse groups together for incredible events and worthy causes. Josh spent six years in the youth ministry with Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, has sat on boards within TAG (Technology Association of Georgia), and served in leadership with Atlanta's High Tech Ministries and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. To relax and recharge, Josh seeks out adventures. Whether it's wakeboarding, surfing, racing, martial arts, kayaking, driving his wife crazy, rappelling, traveling, getting into trouble, getting out of trouble, or just sitting on the dock with friends and family and his feet in the water, Josh knows that the life and the time we have are gifts that should be shared and not wasted. We need to measure up to what we're made to be, invest in the people and things God puts in our paths, and also enjoy what we’re blessed with.
