Judy “Jae" Rose-Paterson was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, but relocated to Southern California, with her husband, David, shortly after marriage. For over 20 years, Jae was involved in Early Childhood Education as a teacher and private nanny. She likes to say she has many surrogate children and adores them all. Rumor has it that "Ms. Judy's" cupcakes are the best! Jae’s first book, EAT LIKE A LOCAL- SAN DIEGO: The Food and the Sunsets North County San Diego California, was published in 2020. It was her love of all things San Diego that prompted her to write about all her favorite restaurants, places, and activities the area and surrounding cities have to offer. Since 2020, Jae has gained a reputation as a successful ghostwriter of Western historical romances. She has also co-written, under her alter ego of Jae Rose, a published time-travel book for 4th graders studying the colonization of the U.S. Jae and her husband enjoy traveling, sailing, and watching sunsets over the ocean while enjoying a bottle of fine wine. They currently live in Dublin, California, San Francisco East Bay area, after living over 30 years in the San Diego area.
