K.E. Semmel is a writer and translator who will publish his debut novel, The Book of Losman, in October 2024 (SFWP). His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Ontario Review, Washington Post, World Literature Today, Southern Review, Subtropics, Lithub, Gargoyle, and elsewhere. His translations include books by Karin Fossum, Naja Marie Aidt, Jussi Adler Olsen, Simon Fruelund, and Mathilde Walter Clark, among others.
