K.S. Carter is also known as the Children’s Music Recording Artist: Kimmy Schwimmy who spent over 18 years writing and performing music for the young ones on the planet in order to enhance their educational experience in a Fun way full of Imagination. Before that, she traveled the world in a Rock and Roll band called The Radicals and worked as a producer with children and adults performing on stages from Madison Square Garden, NYC, to the Palais Des Congres in Paris, France to stages in Budapest, Hungary and producing shows in Manilla, Philippines and Boston, MA. Before that, she studied music, production, songwriting, voice, and commercial music business at NYU and Georgia State University. Before that she climbed trees, rode off road motorcycles, jumped on trampolines, and competed in horse back riding and ice skating. She even received a full scholarship to play basketball but turned it down. She had recently joined an acapella singing group and recorded an album in the studio for the very first time. This experience was so exhilarating, she hung up her basketball shoes and dove into the music scene and has never looked back. Her greatest gift is her three children, Josh, KJ and Eli who, when they came into the world, inspired her to find work where she could be with them once they arrived home from school. The business of Kimmy Schwimmy was born as she was able to work in schools first thing in the morning and be home by lunchtime. Her 18 years working with children and test focusing all her 70+ songs written just for them came to a sudden halt when Covid-19 arrived. Deciding to be Curious and Interested rather than give way to Fear, she followed a ‘message’ from a higher place to go back to where the Purple Sky Lullaby characters first visited her in Flemington, NJ 10 years ago while she was falling in love. The message was so clear it was as though Someone was sitting next to her as she sat on the floor of her bedroom: “You have the time now. Go write and finish Book One.” Once she completed the writing of the book, it occurred to her that since it is full of melodies and lullabies and thank you poems and characters who all love to sing, why not release this as an audiobook? If you want to hear her sing, read, and perform this book, that option is now available. K.S. Carter has written The Purple Sky Lullaby for children and those with a child-like spirit who are looking to feel a little better. She quite possibly also wrote it for herself should she come back again for another try at this game we call Life. She is currently a mindfulness coach and works with children and preteens to help them understand their thoughts and emotions, using the characters from The Purple Sky Lullaby as guides since all of them are masters of their own energy in their world.
