Ken Luber's newest novel, "The Sun Jumpers," has won the publisher's coveted "Award of Literary Excellence." “The Sun Jumpers” is his second published novel and has received outstanding reviews and critical praise both for its depth of characters and its buoyant literary style (see reviews at www.TheSunJumpers.com). He is the lyricist and wrote the book for "Esperanza - the Musical of Hope” (www.EsperanzatheMusical.com) along with his composer, Saverio Rapezzi. Ken is a graduate of Ripon College, with post-graduate work at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and a writer/director fellowship at the American Film Institute. He has two sons and lives with his artist/wife Kathy in the mountain community of Idyllwild, CA. Before moving to Idyllwild, he worked for many years in the film and television industry in LA. His feature film “Howzer" received honors at the New American Director’s Series at the Whitney Museum NY, and at the U.S. Film Festival in Austin, Texas. He received an Inland Empire Outstanding Director Award for his theatre work. He continues to work in film and television projects, as well as teaching in ESL and ABE courses in the Hemet, CA adult school program. Ken hopes readers will enjoy his work both for its thought, its humor and its willingness to feel the universal spirit in all of us.
