Leah Angstman is a researcher, transplanted Michigander living in Boulder, and executive editor of Alternating Current Press and The Coil magazine. Her debut novel, OUT FRONT THE FOLLOWING SEA (Regal House, 2022), a look at King William’s War in a brutal 17th-century New England, was the recipient of over 30 awards and accolades. Her debut collection of short histories and novellas, SHOOT THE HORSES FIRST (Kernpunkt, 2023), has won over 10 awards, including six gold medals and the NIEBA Juror’s Choice award. Her latest book, FALCON IN THE DIVE (Regal House, 2024), is a novel of the French Revolution that’s already been a finalist for multiple awards.
