Lenora Livingston's real name is Jo-Ann "Jody" Wilhelm. In the 1940s, she wrote poetry in a rural schoolhouse that had a pot-bellied stove for heat, an outside hand pump for its water supply, and a path to a two-seater privy. She earned her BA and MAT from the University of South Carolina, plus post Masters studies at The Citadel. As an educator she created and implemented an Environmental Education Teaching Unit and a Character Education Word-of-the-Month Program, both of which received statewide recognition. She has also written a history book and numerous articles for various publications. As a retired educator at age 75, she published her first novel, "Where's Stephanie?". It's a unique, faith-filled and inspirational adoption story written straight from her heart and based on a true story. AWARDS: Since January 2019, the screenplay/script that she adapted from "Where's Stephanie?" has won 27 awards at film festivals and screenwriting contests, including the New York/Los Angeles International Film Festival, the Las Vegas International Film and Screenplay Festival, the International Independent Film Awards, the Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, the California Women's Film Festival and Oklahoma's Twister Alley International Film Festival.
