Lola Brooks is an inspiring author dedicated to empowering young minds and making a positive impact on the lives of children. Born in the town of Wilson, NC, she spent her formative years in Wilmington, NC. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, with a minor in Sociology, and an additional AA degree in Birth-Kindergarten. Lola has excelled as an Elementary School Teacher for the past 15 years of her career. She then received the title of Teacher of the Year for the 2021–22 academic year as a result of her devotion and dedication to her profession. Beyond her role as an educator, Lola is a talented children's author, focusing especially on fostering self-worth and confidence in her young readers. Her writing not only entertains but also serves as a powerful tool to remind children they are significant and capable of achieving greatness, regardless of age or size. In recognition of her contributions to children's literature, Lola was honored as a Children's Author by the esteemed Gaston Literacy Council. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Hope in Christ Tutoring program, embodying her belief in making a difference in the lives of others. When she's not writing or teaching, Lola cherishes quality time with her family, taking them on exciting adventures and exploring new destinations. Lola is currently working on upcoming projects, including adult picture books that promise to captivate readers with her unique storytelling and insightful narratives. In all her endeavors, Lola Brooks remains committed to her mission to inspire children to embrace their worth and pursue their dreams, ensuring that they grow up knowing they are valued, loved, and capable of achieving anything they set their minds to.
