I live in Staffordshire England with my wife Sue to whom I have been married for over 50 years. I have two wonderful married daughters (and therefore two equally fine sons in law!) and six very special grandchildren. I am part of the leadership team of the Tamworth Elim Pentecostal Church where I have worshipped since coming to faith over 25 years ago. I began to write poetry in 2009 and published my first volume "Twice Times Telling - the books of the bible in poetry" in 2011. This was reprinted in 2018 under the new title "Start to Finish". In the same year I published my second volume of poetry, an exploration of the life of Christ entitled "The Gospels in Harmony" published by Onwards & Upwards in the UK. My third short collection published in 2020 entitled "Moments" explores issues of identity, purpose and the deeper questions of life at the time of the global pandemic The poems are accompanied by a series of personal monochrome photographs taken in around my village at that time. I have been a Christian storyteller for 25 years organizing one man shows and team events (and even a whole church storytell) including the Gospels of Mark and John, the parables of Jesus, the Easter and Christmas stories, the life and times of Jeremiah, and the Exodus narrative as well as more contemporary tales illuminating the human condition and our search for meaning. My new book, ONE, published in 2024 is a modern telling of the life, death and resurrection on Jesus synthesising all four Gospel narratives into a single storyline and combining this modern narrative with my previously published poems from The Gospels in Harmony and available globally in hardback, paperback and audio format.
