After spending most of his teens and twenties in various unsuccessful bands, Nathan eventually turned his hand to writing. In 2013 he self published a short fiction collection, Purge. His debut novel The World Is (Not) A Cold Dead Place was published by Armley Press in 2015. His second novel, Out Of The City was published in 2017, again by Armley Press. His second collection of self-published short stories, Everything Falls Apart was released in November 2018. The Last Sane Man On Earth, the sequel to The World Is (Not) A Cold Dead Place was published on 22nd May 2020. He has written about politics, culture, football and men's mental health and wellbeing for Byline Times, The New European, men's Fitness, Four Four Two, Metro, Morning Star, Sabotage Times and Clash Music. He also co-founded the independent publishing press Obliterati Press, who have published seven books to date, and co-host the football podcast F*ck Off Everton. Nathan grew up on Merseyside, and now lives in the Midlands with his wife and two children and works part time for the NHS.
