Ron Bahar is the child of Israeli Immigrants. He was born in 1965 in Boulder, Colorado, and was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He has been fascinated with biology and medicine since early childhood, and has been fortunate enough to turn these passions into a career. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in zoology before attending medical school at the University of Nebraska. He followed his future wife, Laurie, to Los Angeles, and completed all of his post-graduate training at UCLA. He went on to serve there as a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics from 1997 to 2000, after which time he started his own private pediatric gastroenterology practice in the Los Angeles suburb of Encino. Though not a talented musician in his own right, Ron loves listening far too loudly to Spotify music in his otherwise peaceful office. He also yells at the television when he doesn't like what he sees or hears. Bahar has two children, Ethan (a college student at Wake Forest University) and Matthew (a high schooler at the Viewpoint School in Calabasas, CA), and two energetic Goldendoodles, Olivia and Diego. Ron and Laurie love to travel the world, and spend many weekends at their family mountain retreat in Lake Arrowhead, CA.
