As a girl, Shohini Ghose was inspired by Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to go to space, and wanted to become an explorer like him. She hasn’t made it to space yet, but she did become an explorer of the quantum world as an award-winning physics Professor in Waterloo, Canada. She is the co-author of the bestselling astronomy textbook ASTRO, and was the Co-Editor in Chief of the Canadian Journal of Physics, Canada's flagship physics journal. She is a TED Senior Fellow and TED speaker, featured on TED Talks India hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
