Sarah lives with her husband, daughter and cat Stella near Oswestry and has been painting and drawing for as long as she can remember. Having studied Art and English at Marple’s College, Art foundation at Stockport College and with a degree in Creative Advertising from the University of Central Lancashire, it’s clear Sarah is a creative. Sarah’s original career was in Marketing, but unable to return to work on flexible hours after the birth of Megan in 2018, a re-evaluation was in order. Sarah says, “It was at this point that my wonderfully supportive husband suggested that I follow my dreams and use my talents. It was seeing the world through Megan’s eyes that brought a fresh perspective to me – how animals made their way around the high street and how they interacted with each other in the park. Inspired, I knew I needed to write. It wasn’t until late one night on a note app on my phone during a 1am feed, that I actually got to writing the first few lines of ‘The Shoe Foxes’. “From then on I worked every moment that Megan was sleeping towards writing and painting the illustrations for my first children’s book! It became an Amazon Bestseller on launch day!” Since then, Sarah has released another Amazon bestseller 'Dragonfly Pie' and gave live workshops for kids, teaching drawing and writing stories to give parents some time off. Since then she has written and illustrated her 3rd book 'Noisy Nora'.
