Sarah Thurber (b. 1963) was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her free-range writing career focused abruptly on creativity in 1994 when she met Blair Miller, a creativity consultant, whom she later married. Together, they coauthored the training manuals “Creativity Unbound: An Introduction to Creative Process” and “Facilitation: A Door to Creative Leadership.” At a 2010 creativity conference in Italy, Thurber met creativity author Dorte Nielsen. They attended graduate school together at the International Center for Studies in Creativity (ICSC) and collaborated on a visual model for creative process, which was later adopted by the the Creative Education Foundation (CEF). Their best-selling book, “The Secret of the Highly Creative Thinker,” ranked #4 on Inc.’s list of “44 Favorite Books of High Achievers.” Thurber currently runs the FourSight company (www.foursightonline.com), which has introduced creative thinking to more than 100,000 people around the world.
