Trained as a journalist at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Richmond British Columbia, Canada, Virginia worked as a reporter for several years. But in 1992, her writing career took a backseat when her son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The experience changed the lives of her entire family, but also ignited another internal fire. Extensively researching this puzzling disorder to provide answers for her own struggling family, Virginia's work came to help others as well. She founded the Fraser Valley Autism Society, wrote feature articles for local newspapers on the subject and continues to share her knowledge and experience with families like hers. The experience has broadened her mind and sharpened her skill as a writer. Like many authors, life and work threatened to consume her creative writing, and it might have taken a backseat permanently, had she not seen another way to proceed. Basing her novels on the real and often startling events of her own life, discovering the magic of voice to text software, and carving out a few hours each week to dedicate to the craft she loves, her first two novels were born! Virginia's work continues to combine natural mediumistic tendencies with her passion for truth, and love of storytelling. Through a bizarre twist of fate, the author discovered the art of audiobook narration, and is pleased to re-release an Anniversary Edition of her first novel in that format. It includes new details and a more satisfying conclusion. Publishing this true story of Virginia's childhood, has finally allowed her to put the Nightmare Man out of her head for good. Virginia and her husband live on a beautiful rural acreage in Mission, British Columbia, Canada with a collection of dogs and cats who think they're in charge.
