A Publishing Consultant, author and ghostwriter, Bill has made writing the linchpin of his working life. Besides the few books shown here, he has others published on Amazon and by various employers. He has been called a "polymath," defined as a person of wide-ranging interests and ability. The new word in vogue now is "multipotentialite," and connotes the same things. Bill's first writing job was as a travel writer and photographer for the Auto Club of Southern California (AAA), creating books on Baja California, The Pacific Coast Highway, Sierra Nevada, and other major tourist areas. Because that was in the 1970's, well before computers came into the publishing scene, Bill learned the nuts and bolts of writing, type specifications, formatting and layout "the old way," by measuring points and picas, specifying photo reductions in percentages. That knowledge of the trade made it possible, when Aldus PageMaker, the first WYSIWYG page-layout program debuted, for Bill to take the lead in high-quality, local publishing of four-color glossy magazine. He published a wedding magazine in three states for twenty-one years, pioneering quality magazines produced on his Mac. He's done technical journals, magazines, acoustic guitar building manuals, prepping books, wedding photography guides, and novels on ebola, gang wars, and the prescription drug-caused reasons for mass shootings. To say he is an eclectic writer is an understatement. During college, Bill was a "Jungle Bunny," a Jungle Boat ride operator at Disneyland ("Welcome, Danger Lovers, aboard the Leaky Tiki ..."). He has hiked across Grand Canyon four times and into and around it for over twenty years. He now lives in Colorado, where he continues his writing and publishing career.
