Historia
Shari Franke’s childhood was a constant battle for survival. Her mother, Ruby Franke, enforced a severe moral code while maintaining a façade of a picture-perfect family for their wildly popular YouTube channel 8 Passengers, which documented the day-to-day life of raising six children for a staggering 2.5 million subscribers. But a darker truth lurked beneath the surface—Ruby’s wholesome online persona masked a more tyrannical parenting style than anyone could have imagined.

Very interesting true story
Revisado: 01-18-25
Interesting true story. The author herself narrated. She’s not a terrible narrator but neither is she a good one. It would certainly have been a much better experience with a professional narrator.

Bo-ring!
Revisado: 01-13-25
I usually like this author’s books! This one however, it took an effort. I really had to work hard not to quit listening and to finish the book. Tedious, slow and unimaginative. What a disappointment!

Historia
This Audible Exclusive production revisits Charles Dickens’ tragi-comic novel Little Dorrit. Written during the Crimean War, it a story of fortunes won and lost and a masterly portrayal of the failings of Victorian Society, with the ever-present spectre of law enforcement and imprisonment looming over a fearful population. Divided into two parts, Book One: Poverty and Book Two: Riches, Little Dorrit satirises the debtors prisons and the detrimental effect of enforcing a British class system.

C. Dickens: about the writing and the story nothing more needs to be said. The narration was also exception.

The absurd and unsatisfactory
Revisado: 08-11-24
I really had to force myself to listen to the end. In the past I’d enjoyed some of this author’s “non marvel” books, but this one… it was painful to listen to. An absurd story, with big holes in the plot. And the (attempted) pseudo scientific explanations given to support her story!! Please!!! Don’t waste your credit on this one, is my advice.

Sally Milz is a sketch writer for The Night Owls, a late-night live comedy show that airs every Saturday. But when Sally’s friend and fellow writer Danny Horst begins dating Annabel, a glamorous actress who guest-hosted the show, he joins the not-so-exclusive group of talented but average-looking and even dorky men at the show.

And they are making this into a movie???!!! Really??!!!
Revisado: 07-07-24
I had high hopes for this book, as the description said it was funny, bla bla bla. Yes, it did have its funny moments, mostly in the beginning, and then it deteriorated into your typical, boring, unimaginative romantic comedy: they have hot sex, she suffers moments of extreme insecurity about her looks/her worth/her ability to be loved, etc (you get it), f/b hot sex, f/b her insecurities causing further disagreement between them, f/b they resolving said disagreements, f/b hot sex/private jet/mansion in California/ etc… f/b the illness of a loved one proving the strength of their love and commitment to each other, etc.. etc.. etc… Honestly, at a certain point I just kept pressing the forward button over and over without missing even one beat.

Historia
Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Alban refuses to knock the playhouse down, even keeping a picture of it on his wall.
