lattee for latte, type a personality rather than type A personality? The phraseology is all wrong! These may seem like little things, but are very distracting and just another reason I hate these automated voice readers!

A Fantastic Read

This book was riveting. I could hardly keep up with the twists and turns, each more unexpected than the last. The author pulled all of the threads together really well. This was thoroughly enjoyable!

Insightful, heart wrenching and heartwarming

This is a thoughtful, compassionate liturgy on having a family member sick with a deadly illness and the challenges and lessons for the individual, the primary caretaker and all of the nuclear family members as they navigate the awful reality and journey of coping with the effects of a long term illness and end of life decisions. Having been the primary caretaker of both of my elderly parents during the last years of their lives, this book deeply resonated, but also reminded me of the joys, the pains, the opportunities, and the inevitable growth such an experience engenders. It should be a must read for any family members with aging relatives.

Like many, however, I would not have traded one minute of those precious years for anything. I miss you dearly every day mom and dad!

technical difficulties?

it was very distracting, that for some reason, about every 20 minutes, the narrator read a sentence, breathed for a second, and then repeated the identical sentence in full. it happened at least 10 times.

otherwise, the book was great!

A Terrific Listen!

It's been a while since I picked this one up, and I'd forgotten what a great story it was, and really enjoyed listening to it as a performance! That always brings the story more alive for me, and I love having these classics as audio productions!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The storyline was not predictable and yet was so satisfying. The characters were well drawn and endearing. I also enjoyed the lack of swearing, for once.
This book made me take note of the humanity among all of us, if we will nurture it and pay attention. A terrific read!

This was a good book. It was sometimes hard to listen to, as a female, but also hard to stop listening. The plot was well developed, and the characters came to life, albeit in sinister ways at times. All around, a good read!

Makes me want to write again!

I loved this read simply about the lives of common folks, but of uncommon eloquence, confidence and enrichment. It is almost criminal that I have never read Bronte, but rest assured I will voraciously devour the entire writings of both sisters and find exquisite pleasure in doing so. The visions of the old English people, countryside and Era will play upon my mind for seasons to come.

Interesting but...

This book was hard to follow from the beginning to the end. The plot was pretty unique, but the execution was lacking. And disorientated IS NOT a word!!!

Mispronounciations galore!

When I listen to an audio book, I can accept a couple of mispronunciations. I frequently listen to books narrated by British persons, and offten enjoy the difference between American English and British English! However, the amount, frequency and continuation of these to the very end was more than annoying. It was very distracting and several times I had to rewind in order to really hear the plot. The story was quite good, and was the saving grace of this one!! Please get someone who is familiar with the language and can correctly pronounce the words.
