Resumen del Editor

Artificial intelligence (AI) is having a profound impact on individuals, businesses, and governments, but what is required to get ahead and stay ahead of the AI curve is not well understood. AI Supremacy is a comprehensive guide to AI's impact on a societal and global level and provides a vision for how AI and machine learning will likely influence the way business is done, societies function, and governments interact in the future.

Daniel Wagner, a thought leader in risk management and current affairs, and Keith Furst, an expert in data management and financial crimes, have crafted an insightful, entertaining, and unique audiobook that takes listeners on a wild ride through the canyons and valleys of AI to examine many of its most important subtopics. From globalization to jobs, financial services to the role of governments, the nexus with cyber risk to spying, and from China's quest to international relations, the authors have delved deeply into the subject matter.

The race for AI supremacy is about more than establishing a competitive position in the global marketplace for innovative applications and technological prowess - it is about anticipation, adopting the right mind-set, and having the right resources, a futuristic orientation, and the ability to execute. While few organizations and governments have achieved the right mix to lead in the race for AI supremacy, those that have already possess a substantial lead. Those that have not are simply falling further and further behind.

Can those that are not already in the race get in the race with any realistic hope of catching up? Can those who are already in the race ever catch up with the leaders? Who will win in the end? Should AI be feared or embraced?

These are among the many questions Wagner and Furst explore in this enticing audiobook.

"Wagner and Furst eloquently present the promises and perils of AI. In their talented, critical, and in-depth geopolitical analysis of our quest to solving intelligence, the authors keep us eager to learn more about our hybrid futures and for this reason, this book is a must-read." (Eleonore Pauwels, research fellow on emerging cybertechnologies, United Nations University's Center for Policy Research and director of the AI Lab at the Wilson Center)

"Daniel and Keith help us understand social, political, and economic changes that will follow a wide adoption of AI and machine learning by adjusting norms, policies, and business models. AI Supremacy is a great milestone to engage us all in a critical conversation about how we want our AI-enabled future be more inclusive and sustainable." (Danil Kerimi, head of information, technology, and electronics industries, World Economic Forum)

"The authors do a superb job of providing a comprehensive view of its use in commercial, civil, military, and intelligence applications. another WOW moment

It's coming and coming fast. The question isn't "are we ready" its "what can we do with it before it undoes us."

Confusing and already heard in other books,

This book is also not only about AI. They bring in many other topics to muddy the waters.
The authors make the point in the title that most participants in advanced schools in New York City are Asians, while blacks and hispanics make up 2/3's of the schools enrollment in that city. They mistakenly claim that Asians score better than other ethnic groups on tests. In fact, Asians as a group score lower than Europeans as a group, as IQ tests have repeatedly shown. If they were superior in academics, as the authors claim, then there would be no need for them to immigrate to America, a wealthy nation which has been, until the Asians began to immigrate here in the 1970s, over 90% White European. just take a look at the world fact books average IQ by country and you will see that India scores 84, on average, SE Asian 92, and Hong Kong, around 100, similar to the United States.
