A complete disappointment when looking for helpful information

It you are functional enough to have an audible subscription and leave the house unattended, you have no need for this book. This book is jumping on the adult autism bandwagon but provides nothing. Google provides more real, in-depth info. What a pathetic excuse for a book.

Amazing!

I truly learned and enjoyed listened to this book so much, the stories of real people that are included helped me understand how learn from them. This is a must have book if you need some support and you don't know what to do either with your diagnosis or some one you know! Especially I liked chapter 4 about improving your communication skills and the additional resources.

An insightful listen

What stood out to me the most in this book were the stories of the people who were diagnosed with ASD. Many of these people are close to my age and my peers'. Mental disorder is often stigmatized in various cultures--making it an uncomfortable topic to discuss. I like that this book simplifies the topic and introduces it to the listener in a way that is easy to follow. The book talks about what ASD is, its symptoms, how to handle diagnosis and talk to other people about it, how a person with ASD can improve their communication, precautions you can take for your safety, and even autism in the workplace. Overall, the book is a good overview guide of how a person can navigate their life if they were newly diagnosed with autism.
