Worth reading

I was very moved by this story. To go through the trials that Anthony & Florence faces and to be able to forgive and live with love is impressive.

Another beautiful, heart wrenching, true story by Mark Sullivan

Easy storyline to follow even tho it follows 2 people. Perfect voice to read this. So so good.

Best book I’ve read this year!

Amazing true story of children abducted and forced into serving as soldiers in the LRA. Deeply moving testament to the will to survive and to truly “be good humans.”

I loved this. The story never become boring! There were many twists and turns right down to the end.

I was horrified at the brutality and inhuman treatment of people .
And awed by the love and determination of the survivors . Moved to tears - overjoyed they made it !

Quite a Book!

This book was very difficult, especially in the first half. The atrocities that these young kids went through doesn’t bare thinking about. I was not aware of the history of that place. I wasn’t aware of the extend of what the Lord’s Resistance Army, under the leadership of Joseph Koney, this crazy man did. The author tells of a young courageous couple that in spite of the nightmare they were surrounded with they found love and a way out. Don’t miss this excellent historical fictional novel.

First, Mark Sullivan is a fabulous author. This is again another heart wrenching as well as an inspiring story.

Everybody could benefit from reading this incredible book. Forgiveness, gratitude, and love. Thank you to everyone involved.

The ability to remain good amongst so much evil.

I love true stories. This book demonstrates the strength of family, goodness and love. Even when goodness is over shadowed by such evil and vile men whose sole purpose is to destroy that goodness. This book is so worth reading. We need to know about the many children whose lives were destroyed by being forced to become child soldiers in Uganda and elsewhere. This book held me captive!
