Awesome first 3 books.

King really has an amazing imagination.
I can't think of a book I've read of his that I didn't like. Some are good and a lot are great, but none are average or below.
The MC here is not the average MC. He's a likable bloodthirsty leader with a good head on his shoulders.
I'm looking forward to book 4.
I'm giving this omnibus 6.5 out of 5 stars.

The Marty Stew MC that was of course better at everything than anyone else. ruined what could have been a good story for me. Good world building and performance.

I quite liked this bundle, it's only 1 credit and keeps you entertained for a while, if you enjoy apocalypse type books you'll love this bundle

Completely not what I was expecting…

I didn’t know exactly what I would expect for this series but it was probably the typical post-apocalyptic fantasy where a group of people gain magic to defend people.
Thankfully, this story had more depth to it. At least eventually. But I did find myself loosing interest throughout. I’ll probably continue the series to the end but it isn’t a very big drive to do so.

This is a very solid series. Max, the MC, is very likeable and an ex military so a perfect enforcer.
