Good story, endearing characters, interesting history… weird …. In the best way. This review is required by “law” to be longer so ..

Creepy and Delicious!

Listen to it….Trust me. Listen to it! You will not be disappointed! I will never look (or eat) another Apple in my entire lifetime without thinking of this book.

A good listen!

I had a little trouble with some of the toxic relationships - I just don't have the patience for gaslighting and emotional abuse even if those things are setting themes that are resolved within the book. The story kept me interested and I listened to the whole thing. I especially liked the bit at the end where the author talked about his inspiration. It was really cool to see how normal, everyday things can inspire really gripping stories. The story itself started out like normal life, things got a little weird, then things got weirder and weirder, until Holy Hell This Is Weird - as the truly great horror stories do. I'd recommend. :)

Different

Not at all what I expected. There were moments that I truly didn't expect in the story. Definitely
a story that allows your imagination to take hold. It is lengthly but, the foundation is laid for the crazy to take place. If you can commit, this is worth a go. You will find that you wont want to turn it off once it gets going.

Perfect

This was so good. I am not in general a horror fan, so for me this was just the right level of “dear god what??” and “gasp” and “oh no oh no oh no”. It brought to mind Needful Things, although it’s been decades since I read that, so not sure why. 100% recommend and will read again.

What an interesting story...

It was a great listen and I enjoyed it pretty much all the way through. It definitely falls in my preferred genre and while it kept to be in creepy and downright disturbing, the story was refreshingly new and different with realistic characters and to find attention to detail.

Huge fan of Chuck Wendig

This book was clever, fun and exciting. I usually get through Chucks books fast. I’m not distracted by his political views that are some what sprinkled through his books. I truly enjoy his way of storytelling and tying it to modern themes. This book is fantastic and like his other books I can’t wait to see what he writes next!

I'll never eat anther apple...

this was a great story woven with little tells here and there that tied it all together in the end.

Excellent Audiobook!

I really enjoyed this one! I got into the storyline, and at the beginning was a little slow but everything came together quickly. The characters were well developed.

Good story, but to long.

This story was intriguing at first, but halfway through it got so monotonous. I liked the story but it could have 8 hours shorter. Still, it was an original, creative concept that made me want to finish it. I will be reading more from the author.
