A great all-around resource

Exercising can be both difficult and monotonous in the current state of the world. With many of us forced to shelter in place today, it’s become increasingly difficult to get to the gym or even go for a run. This audiobook provides us a solid alternative when it comes to physical activity.

It offers both boxing fundamentals as well as some exercises we can carry out within the comfort of our own homes (and the purchase of a small amount of equipment). That’s a huge win for those of us unable to go to the gym or attend group fitness classes.

What I liked most about this one was the foundational knowledge it provides. It gives plenty of tips and tricks on boxing stances and punches, and it backs up those tips with the reasons why we should carry them out. Those reasons were something I felt I’d been lacking in my boxing knowledge, and they’re also what made me enjoy this audiobook so much.

Boxing Simplified!

I never really thought that you could listen to an audiobook and learn to box, but hey-ho, you can. This is just like having an instructor looking over your shoulder. I've picked up a lot of great moves from this well-produced audiobook.

Learning boxing. Wearing the right shoes.

I love boxing. I have been doing it for over 20 years. I was curious to listen to this audiobook on boxing. The author talks about the techniques of how to stand on the feet, where to place his hands. He talks about famous boxers and types of boxers. He talks about the boxing vocabulary too. I recommend this book for people who want to learn boxing and know self defense.

Very comprehensive overview for beginners

I’m a beginner in boxing, having trained under a year. I’m 43 years old and look to compete in the masters division. This book has been a great reinforcement for me mastering the basics.

Goes over the foundations for boxing. I'm using it to up my skill level at paying thrill of the fight a VR boxing game.

Your Virtual Boxing Coach

The book helps bring theory with practice which has helped accelerate my progress during training. It breaks down the foundation steps and explains the purpose behind the exercises with benefits and goals. It’s like having a boxing coach in your corner. I have this playing in the background now during some of my sessions.

Great info!

This book has tons of helpful info for a new boxer. It explains very clearly (for an audiobook) such that you can follow along without pictures. AND there’s an accompanying PDF with photos that you can reference if you do need a visual. I also appreciated the chapters on nutrition, exercise, and stretching as a complement to the boxing regimen. Thank you!
