Somya stared unseeingly at the picture of herself and her buddy hugging each other at the summit of Machu Picchu. They had finally achieved their dream and felt a surge of happiness envelop them and the hugging and laughing had gone on. They had had a picture taken, returned to civilization, to their jobs and to their respective spouses and had the picture framed on their work desks. They spoke to each other just about every day. Exchanging stories of the highs and lows of daily living. They felt their affection for each other in their bones. They were one soul cleaved and housed in two different bodies, two different species altogether and yet the love they borne for each other rang true. She stared at the picture of her 6 foot tall best friend holding her in a frozen hug. She remembered being unable to breathe. His hard arms gleamed in the sun and metal hard fingers held her hard against him. He belonged to the Bronze God race. The name stuck when the first ship landed on earth in the year 2012 and their ambassador stepped out as naked as the new born babe and the rising sun glowed against his armoured skin making the trembling eighty year old farmer call him - the Bronze God.
