The story:

Rather than shoring up the meagre existing defences, the Catachans elect to go on the offensive and retake the strategically vital Outpost Four. In the jungles of Aztlan a deadly war of the shadows is being fought. And the Imperial Guard are losing. As the Mortifactors descend into the jungle vastness, they hunt for a killer, one that will not die easily but that whom Adoni must slay if he is to become part of the Chapter and a Taker of Heads.

An easy listen, Catachan are awesome
You follow three characters through the story and each character has a unique perspective of their place in the conflict. I especially enjoyed hearing the details of how the Catachan fight and survive on jungle worlds.

Amazing VA just wish he'd WAAAAG with his chest
Loved the story and the VA. Honesty his Ork voice is great, added a lot of character to them. My only complaint is his Ork WAAAAG. A proper one comes from the chest. small complaint for an otherwise fantastic book.

Good Catachan story, but better Orc story.
Think it's a good story. Only problem I have is with the pacing. Speed of character growth happens blistering fast for 1 of the 3 main characters, but listening to the growth of all the main characters was enjoyable.

Good perspectives of Catachans and Ork Komandos!
It’s a good squad level perspective of the average tithed guardsmen interacting with the well known Catachans. The ork komandos were enjoyable as well since it’s not something I’ve seen done before.

Good guard book, better Ork book
Wonderful characterization across the board, particularly with the Orks. Really cool to get a Catachan jungle fighter story, the colonel is a fun narrator and Torvinn’s arc is interesting
