Challenges build strength
We don’t get to choose what situations we end up in but we learn from difficulties and can choose how to respond. This is an inspiring story of a woman who was dealt a tough hand, made the most of it, and continues to use the strength that she has developed.

These stories have to be heard.
Sally’s story had to be written down. I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. Wow! I was swept away. Immediately had my 14 year old daughter start reading it. I see the evidence of Sally’s beliefs is what helps her overcome horrible obstacles with such great grace. Sally, I love your outlook of life after all you have and will endure.

A real story about strength and adversity
This story was real and moved me to tears many times. The author uses her voice to record this and you can feel her emotions. the story was well written and it really makes you feel like you are there with her. It is a true testament that the power of choosing to be strong . I am now a bigger fan of sally her heart and love and loyalty to her mom and sisters are beautiful. She deserves all the success in this life.

Heartbreaking and Inspiring
What a heartbreaking, courageous and inspiring story. I was a big Sally fan before listening to this book, and my administration for her has grown even more. Can't wait for the next book. Thanks Sally for being so open and vulnerable.
Also, in my opinion Sally does a really good job as the narrator, couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job than her.

In every way, my favorite book
I downloaded this book after following Sally on social media and listening to her podcast. I saw it fitting to listen while competing in a race. This was both an amazing and terrible idea. Through the tough “rolling” hills, I found strength in her poems. But through the story I found myself tearing up on the course not from the road but from the overwhelming feelings that came from the words she said that I could’ve only dreamed to be able to put into words. The articulation and story telling that Sally has mastered is mind blowing and I cannot wait for part two to inevitably make me love her and her capabilities more!
