Love Ruth Reichl’s work
I feel she’s one of the great food writers! Unfortunately, I did not like the performance—some of her emphases were odd, as were her pronunciations. Having heard Ruth Reichl speak, this was jarring.

Ruth’s tenacity stood out !
I liked this story of her personal life and her professional life. Her growth through the years was very interesting. It must have been hard to write for her.

Reichl is a delicious writer
This book does cover the gradual dissolution of her first marriage, finding the man who becomes her second husband and rings her bells, her move to lLA, and the trauma of an incomplete adoption. Well done!

I love this book.
I love this book. It’s another great memoir by Ruth Reichl that lets me ease into her experiences like an invited guest. The performance is good. The only thing I don’t like is I wish it had one more chapter continuing the story.
