I finally understand Donald Trump

If Donald Trump's behavior as President is perplexing to you read this book. I'm certainly not a fan of Trump but I am obsessed because he was and is so destructive to America. From collusion with Russia to January 6th I struggled to understand why he's never held accountable for his actions and behavior. Now I understand why Trump is obsessed with being the center of attention (even the negative kind) and how it helps him avoid accountability. I hope someone with authority reads this book and it helps them to see behind the Wizard of Oz"s curtain.

A Winner

Haberman delivers her characteristic no nonsense style as she relates the facts of her investigation of trump, revealing the conflicting aspects of hie personality and his unrelenting position that he is always right. This is not a gossipy book; it is a clear presentation of the former president’s actions and thoughts leading to his years in the Oval Office and beyond.

A brilliant expose into the devil

Maggie Haberman is simply a brilliant writer and she puts forth a factual and compelling narrative of a truly sick person….Donald J Trump. The story gives us all a truly awful glimpse of a man who is unfit to ever set foot in the White House ever again. It would almost be a comedy if it wasn’t so frightening in truth.

Great Journalism but Not Great Performance

Haberman is an outstanding reporter. She is not a good reader of audio books.

We do not know how close America skated by a corrupt authoritarian disaster. This is a detailed and ominous description of we nearly lost our freedom and country to a near fascist kleptocracy which is little different from today’s Russia. You may think it can’t happen in the United States, but it can. Well written, fast paced and detailed story . I could not put it down!

Well written account of Trump’s rise to power

Very detailed and researched based account of Trump and his rise to power. Sources of the information identified. Presented in a manner that allows the reader to take in the story of this man without triggering words. The straight forward language of a journalist describes the chaos and disconnect from reality created by Trump.
Not an easy read or listen, but reality seldom is.
I recommend this book for anyone seeking a dose of reality and truth.

Fascinating

Long (17 hours ) but it is filled with interesting insights of Donald Trump. You will not be disappointed.

An excellent biography

This book gives the best…so far…overall story of Trump and his rise/fall from national power. If you want culmination of the other material out there with a healthy dose of original content, then this is the book for you. If you only read one book on Trump, this is a good one. The author is even handed and honest.

Extremely well written

This book is a departure from my typical reads for me, well worth the detour. Maggie lays out years worth a well researched data to create a full picture of the presented caricature of Trump… and how he didn’t single handedly do a single thing millions didn’t want done, attempted coup d’état included
