It's been over two years since the zombie apocalypse changed the world. Zach Gunderson is still reeling after the brutal massacre of most of his loved ones and the abduction of his two children. well writen
I've listened to all of the books in this series and I'm looking forward to the next one. the narration is very good. the characters are interesting and are believable, at least as believable as anything can be in a story about a Zombie apocalypse , and I'm interested in what happens to them next.

awesome
love this series. it grabs you and won't let go. the narrator is pretty good. the only thing bad I can say about this book is the way it ends because then you need to start the other book right away

For the fans only
I heard that this was the last book in the series, which makes me sad. I really enjoyed following the story of Z. I thought for sure the story would go differently than it did, but I enjoyed all of it. If you didn't like the previous books, you probably won't like this one. Z has matured, he still fucks nonstop but he is handling things a bit differently. I give it a solid 4 stars.

Author is hung up on sex
Good story continues… annoying non-realistic sexual fantasy sadly does as well. This author must have been going through a ‘dry spell’ when he wrote this.

Big changes on the horizon
Loved this addition to the series although it pushed the story forward, it somehow kind of stayed the same but still set up the next few books. A very difficult tightrope for the author, I'm sure.

Continued good storytelling
This series really surprised me with how good the storytelling, narration, and character development progressed. I started listening to this on a whim, and now I have gobbled down the first four or five books in the series. I think that anyone who enjoys this genre will find themselves pleased with the first four or five books. I think the only feedback or critique I could think of is that the characters rely way too much on shooting.
