When did fake-then-real dating an ancient vampire become the easy part?
Casimir’s ridiculously sweet now that he’s conquered “the art of the flirt,” as he calls it. He tries hard to fit in with my family—if we forget about those silly threatening chocolates he sent my father—and he even makes me popcorn… okay, he tried. I know, I know, I’m just bragging at this point.
Everything is perfect until we stumble upon a half-dead vampire who is being hunted by someone. And I’m afraid the person hunting him knows all about Casimir’s history. Casimir has fought so hard to drive the darkness away, but we both know that he needs to bury his past… one last time.
Casimir
I never saw myself in a relationship, let alone with a pesky werewolf. He’s funny and sweet, has questionable friends, and phenomenal taste in dog bandanas. After five hundred years, I think I’ve finally convinced myself that I deserve this.
However, someone else isn’t quite certain I do. Julian has assured me that it’s time to move forward, but when there’s a masked man waiting in the shadows for me, I find it hard to ignore my past mistakes.
But I have something I didn’t have the last time I faced him.

Funny!
This story is soo funny! I love the banter between all the characters. I'm also now fully invested in Cyrus's story. I need answers! What is he???? So glad we had more funny times with Gustav, love that dog.

Made me smile, laugh and almost cry.
We get to know Casimir’s background more and why he thinks he’s not a good person. Julian shows him that he is, but also a grumpy vampire too. I really enjoyed learning more about Casimir, how sweet he can be to Julian and ruthless to others.
The narrator once again did an amazing job, I smiled, laughed and got teary while listening.

where to begin?! let's start with oh my God I almost died laughing
so I absolutely loved this book. Alice Winters did it again she's awesome author I laughed so hard I almost embarrassed myself. the narrator nailed it as always. I almost died laughing I'm hoping to be able to read the next installment of a series. this is an absolute must to read and to listen to.

Laugh out loud!!!!
Omg can this author right the good stuff! I am always laughing at her characters. No one writes dialogue like she does! I really want another book. I just think this ragtag group has more exciting shenanigans to uncover!

The characters
I absolutely loved this book. The different chatacters made me laugh. Even though it had sad parts the story kept me entertained.

Julian & Casimir ❤️
This story is a little dark and intense while at the same time being lightened with fun and hilarious shenanigans. I love it so much. I laughed my butt off listening to it and cried all a few times too. Julian is so sweet, and Casimir would burn the world down for him. I can't wait for more in this series!
Michael Ferraiuolo did a phenomenal job with the narration of the audiobook! 👌🏻

Love the narration!
