Strong new series

I really enjoyed the Dreamer’s Throne. The magic system is unique and our mc is both likeable and mingles well with his new friends. The last couple hours were fun to binge on a chill evening, listening to great action and clues to help me get excited about what we’ll see in book 2. Michael Kramer and Seth Ring are a great combo, especially for the no nonsense tone Kramer can evoke, I just love it.

Can’t wait for the second book. I would highly recommend this book and anything else by Seth Ring. Great story amazing characters. The voice acting is awesome.

Rich world and character. More sophisticated and captivating than Battle Mage - although that is good read too!

Absolutely enjoyed

This hits all the high marks for a progression fantasy novel. I would give my left kidney to the goul gang to listen to more. Sadly I don’t know if in the dream they could physically do that.

Would recommend if you like a darker story.

Amazing

I loved every moment of this book. The MC isn't a complete pushover. He is intelligent and ruthless. The RPG elements are interesting and simplified enough that stat reading never get long and boring.
In short, this book is a breath of fresh air into a mostly stale genre filled with incompetent and idiotic self inserts who just get lucky, and bad romance fanfiction that takes up entirely too much time.

I find myself really enjoying Seth Ring's work. I loved the Titan books and I am finding this new series to be similarly compelling. I am very interested in seeing where he takes it.

Well that was a story and a half

I’ve always enjoyed Seth Ring and Michael Kramer and this story did not disappoint. Though the story and world building took awhile to get to the meat of the story, once it took off, it was a steady race up to the climax of the story and it did not let go! If you like a thought story with intelligent thought-provoking ways to make things happen and a strategic like way to view the story then you will totally enjoy this book! On to the next book!

A Very Original Progression Fantasy

Seth Ring is one of my top authors because of his ability to create series that are unique and entertaining. Dreamer's Throne fits nicely in that role. There are a number of atypical aspects with this series from having a handicapped MC and a class system that is really kind of spooky in its skills set. While the the fantasy is ostensibly Isekai in nature, the Earth backstory is left somewhat thin throughout Book 1. There is not a lot of world building other than defining the realm as medieval in surroundings. The pacing steadily moves forward without a lot of introspection. I would classify the age rating as YA but there are definitely brutal battle encounters.

In all, I enjoyed the novelty of the book and the stellar performance of Michael Kramer and look forward to the next book in the series.
